Over the years (five decades + one year to be exact) we have designed pieces for rockstars, actors, high-power attorneys, judges, priests, and fellow jewellers - all without breaking a sweat.

But then, we were asked to redesign an engagement ring, but not just any ring, the ring belonging to Vanessa's mother - "Whatever you think is best, dear," "I know you'll do your best, dear," "Remember this ring will be yours one day, dear..." (She doesn't really sound like that).

High stakes. We removed Ann's 1.0ct diamond from its traditional 6-claw solitaire setting and began to sketch. We knew the setting had to be low profile, no more claws snagging on clothes or scratching faces. We needed to create something unusual, something Vanessa would have to fight her brothers for in the inheritance.

We bezel set the diamond, and off-set it on a split, angled top - set tightly with brilliant cut accent diamonds. The result, a beautiful one of a kind ring worn by a proud mama bear.
