We have never created a piece that does not have a story attached to it - jewellery is inherently personal and meaningful. Sometimes our clients share those stories with us, sometimes they offer us just a glimpse, and every so often - we become a part of it.

Krista inherited two diamond rings from her grandmother; her original engagement ring and the 'upgrade' she received 25 years later. We needed to design a unique and contemporary design that incorporated both stones; honouring her grandparents; while at the same time creating a new heirloom Krista would be proud to pass on to the next generation.

We off-set the larger diamond in a white gold bezel, positioned next to a row of channel-set square peridot stones, set in yellow gold. The smaller diamond was flush-set onto the profile of the yellow gold section.

After receiving it, Krista shared with us a photo album she had created to tell the story of the ring : beginning with her grandparents meeting and falling in love. To read through this touching family story, we couldn't help but get a little emotional - we may have played a small part, but to us, it was a reminder of why we do, what we do.
